PROGRAM INFORMATION
Technology hardware and software requirements: Students need a working internet connection, a desktop or laptop computer with sound, and a camera or a separate web camera. Operating systems compatible with our online CNA class include Chrome, Windows, macOS, iOS (Apple) or Linux. If you’re confused or unsure if you have the right equipment, call our friendly career counselors for help.
Grade requirements for passing program: 70% cumulative average (quizzes and final exam)
Description of required coursework: This program enhances the abilities of students in a wide variety of skills in the healthcare industry and in accordance with the program requirements set by the California Department of Public Health Licensing & Certification Program. Students will learn interpretation of medical and social needs of people being served, nutrition, and working with long term care. This course will enable the graduate to take the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program Exam and obtain professional employment in a variety of employers such as clinical facilities, long term care, nursing homes, and hospitals.
Training program fees: $2,200. Student responsible for background check (typically $35 to $70) and cost of State Certification Exam ($120, paid to State of California). American Medical Careers will provide uniform, textbook and stethoscope to student with no extra charge.
Course deadlines: 7 weeks
Training length: 176 hours
